By Angel Nduka-Nwosu | Jun 21, 2022

Mrs Ada-Orji Nwanyanwu, the national women's leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance Party (APGA), has defected to the Labour Party.

According to Punch,  she handed in her resignation and it said she was joining the Labour Party to campaign for its presidential candidate Peter Obi.

She went on to say that from the support Peter Obi is getting, she feels he is the best candidate to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari as president of Nigeria.

The letter read: “As I resign today from APGA and relinquish my position as the National Women Leader, I would like to use this opportunity to thank you for your fraternity and cooperation. It’s been an honour working with all of you for the growth and welfare of the party. My capacity to serve in the National Working Committee as the National Women Leader was so enriching and I thank you for your support".

Mrs Nwanyanwu also said she was resigning voluntarily to contribute to the upcoming elections the best way she could.
