Biker Lara Annie Wins Two Awards At Recently Concluded Bikers In Nigeria Award
Lara Annie, a biker and Youtuber, has won two awards at the recently concluded Bikers In Nigeria award.
In a Twitter statement, she announced that she won the award of Most Travelled Female Biker 2022 and was also awarded as the Nigerian biker with the most influential social media page.
Lara Annie is a biker best known for her tours around West Africa which cover about 5000 kilometres.
In an interview granted to Piggyvest, she mentioned that she started vlogging on Youtube because each time she posted about herself biking to work on Instagram, people wanted to know more about it.
That then led her to create a Youtube channel for it, which is one of the ways she plans on monetising her passion for biking.
Ms Annie also sells biking items and works as an accountant for a medical firm. She also earns money doing cameos for those who want a female biker featured in their videos.
Commenting on the state of biking for women in Nigeria, she advised upcoming female bikers, saying: "Have the courage to start and stop waiting for approval. Learn from a certified bike trainer, save up to get a bike and start biking, whether for fun or money. Life is too short not to bike because you care about gender stereotypes."
