CommonwealthGames2022: Ese Brume Leaps To New Heights, Wins Long Jump Gold
Ese Brume has won gold for Nigeria in the women’s long jump at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
On her ast attempt, Brume jumped seven meters high setting another Games Record. She defeated Brooke Buschkuehl of Australia, who jumped 6.95 metres to come second, while Ghana’s Deborah Acquah came third.
Her place on the podium pushes Nigeria’s medal maul to 12 gold medals, surpassing Nigeria's 1994 gold medal haul at the Games which stood at 11.
