"Kola Abiola and PRP Stole My Mandate"- 2023 Presidential Aspirant Ndidi Key.
Mrs. Patience Ndidi Key, a 2023 presidential aspirant has come out to accuse fellow politician Kola Abiola of stealing her mandate.
According to a report by The Paradise, Ms. Key also called on the leadership of her party People's Redemption Party (PRP), to declare her its presidential flag bearer not Kola Abiola.
This was stated by her counsel Yakubu Eleto Chambers on Thursday. Ms. Key said her demand for presidential flag bearer was due to the "gross manipulation" and irregularities witnessed during the party's presidential primary elections.
She went further to allege that the election was marred by corrupt practices that were not in line with guidelines stipulated by the PRP.
Ms. Key also said that the party's leadership worked against her and that there was video evidence showing electoral malpractice.
An excerpt from the statement reads as follows:
“In certain places, the strategy was sheer intimidation of the delegates and agents who are recognised as Patience’s loyalists. In some vicinities, there was no evidence to show that the process was conducted in line with party guidelines but results were compiled and submitted in favour of Abiola.”
