Taylor Swift Threatens Legal Action Against Jack Sweeney, On Account of Stalking

According to a student who keeps tabs on celebrities' private planes, Taylor Swift’s attorneys have threatened legal action against him for making public Swift's flight records.

Jack Sweeney determines the takeoffs and landings of affluent individuals' aircraft using publicly accessible data. According to Swift's legal team, the following behaviour constitutes "stalking."

On the heels of Elon Musk's accusation that Mr Sweeney had shared his "assassination coordinates" in 2022, Twitter banned him.

The 21-year-old student at University of Central Florida, named Mr Sweeney has been served with a cease-and-desist letter by Swift's legal team, which demands that he refrain from disclosing the whereabouts of her private jet.

This information is a "life-or-death matter" for Swift, according to the December letter, which states that Swift is in imminent danger and that the letter demands immediate attention.

She claims the information provides crooks with "a roadmap to carry out their plans" and cites her experience dealing with many stalkers.

"Nowhere do I intend for harm," Mr Sweeney said in an interview with the BBC.

"I actually think Swift has some good songs. I believe in transparency and public information, " he said.

He went on to say that the media's scrutiny of Swift's ecological footprint led to the threatening letter he got.

Digital advertising agency Yard found that Swift's private plane has the most CO₂ emissions of any celebrity in 2022.

According to the organization's calculations, her yearly emissions from her plane were 1,185 times higher than the national average.

Just outside of Swift's residence last month, authorities detained a 33-year-old man on stalking charges. According to Swift's representative who talked with US media, the postings about her private plane were partially to blame.

"We cannot comment on any ongoing police investigation but can confirm the timing of stalkers suggests a connection," said spokeswoman Tree Paine. "His posts tell you exactly when and where she would be," he added.

In recent months, thanks to her well advertised concert tour, Swift's travel plans have also captured the interest of fans.
