Tiwa Savage Performs ‘Keys To The Kingdom’ At King Charles' Coronation Concert

Nigeria's Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage, resplendent in an emerald gown, graced the stage during Sunday's coronation concert for King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle.

Tiwa Savage performed "Keys to the Kingdom," a duet she recorded with Mr. Eazi and which appears on Beyoncé's album "The Lion King," accompanied by her backup vocalists and instrumentalists.

Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Nicole Scherzinger, Olly Murs, Paloma Faith, Freya Ridings, Alexis Ffrench, Andrea Bocelli, and Sir Bryn Terfel were some of the international music superstars who performed at the concert.

This was an unprecedented and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the Nigerian performer, who would be the first Nigerian to perform at a royal coronation.

The BBC Coronation concert was watched by over 18 million people around the world, with over 20,000 people in attendance.

Having two 'Bata' (Talking drums) drummers come out and play with her was a highlight that had the sold-out crowd shrieking with delight.

When Beyoncé's album Lion King: The Gift, including guest appearances by renowned musicians from all around the world, was released by Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records, nobody predicted that it would be performed at a coronation.

The song "Keys to the Kingdom," performed by Mr. Eazi and Tiwa Savage of Nigeria, is one of the 27 tracks that Beyonce did not perform herself but created and produced.

The song, which combines traditional Yoruba with English, is meant to encourage the listener to keep going even when they don't feel like it.

Tiwa, resplendent in a regal green gown by Lanre Da Silva, was called the Queen of Afrobeats upon her introduction.
