Israeli Twinder Swindler Detained for Luring Women On Tinder with Fake Profile

On Wednesday, Israeli police in Jerusalem detained a rabbi from a local yeshiva on suspicion that he had been using an identity to lure women in sex.

Using a faux profile, Rabbi Yosef Mordechai Pariser is suspected of contacting women on the dating app Tinder and sexually assaulting them. Furthermore, he is also suspected of fraudulently obtaining benefits and obstructing justice.

The suspect, a married father of two, used the alias Jake Segal, a secular single man, when he presented himself online. He told women he worked at a company that specialized in training guide dogs when in reality he had no such job.

The victims themselves helped bring attention to the case by organizing a confrontation. Several complainants were waiting for him at the home of one of the ladies who had been in contact with him. They then questioned him directly about his behavior.

Police believe there may be more victims of the rabbi's exploitation than the seven who have come forward so far and are asking anyone else who has information to contact them.

The judge has ordered that the rabbi remain in jail until next Monday.
